Does anyone know what the year around weather is like in Fall River, KS. We are thinking of relocating, looking for lower living expenses better weather, less snow and cold. Don't want to get into tornado's and floods either. Also cheaper taxes. If you have any ideas we will listen. 4905 Larry |

Humm, let's see: Southest is out, Hurricanes Northeast and North is out, cold and snow Midwest is out, tornados Southwest is out, blistering heat West is out, earthquakes and high taxes Northwest, that might work, Seattle area? |

Fall River is Cold from late September through April. Snow and ice are common from December - March. Spring has a lot of sever thunderstorms and some tornados . Summer is hot with a lot of bugs. Wife grew up in Coyville , just down the road. We live in Texas and love it. |

Larry, In about a year plus we will leave behind the crazy Californicators for southern South Dakota. The eastern side if you like flat, the western side if you like hills/mountains. No more snow and cold than KS, NE, OK, TX. And: 1. No state income taxes. 2. 3% sales tax. 3. No vehicle emission inspections/tags. 4. Really nice folks. 5. Beautiful country. 6. Stable politics. 7. Lower vehicle insurance premiums. 8. Low cost of living. |

We spent three years near Hutchinson in the mid nineties. Kansas has two seasons: mud and dust. Both are intense. I like winter, so that part didn't bother me. Kansas summer can be hell. |
