I stopped at an RV dealership today to pick up a few things and was looking at water hose. They had 2 different brands, and 2 different sizes and 2 different lengths in each brand. I realize that there is a difference in flow rate and pressure for each hose but, is it a noticeable difference? How often do you need the 50' and where? (private or gov't) Since the inside plumbing is going to be 1/2" is the 5/8" hose needed, or the difference even noticeable? Also how much sewer hose does everyone carry? Ed |

Since all of my plumbing is 1/2 inch PEX, I bought a 25 foot 1/2 inch hose, and a 50 foot 1/2 inch hose. I use which ever I need, but once had to use both to reach the nearest water source from my parking spot. I've always been able to get by with 10 feet of sewer hose...(So far). Jay 87 SaftLiner |

I carry a 25' 1/2" and a 50' 5/8". You may need the xtra 50' in some places. It is also for car and bus washing. I also carry a Y adaptor with shutoffs, makes things eaiser.. I carry a 10 ft sewer hose, 11 ft would be perfect. The cheap sewer hose do not hold up well. It is easy to poke a hole in one and make a mess. The higer quality ones last much longer and are a better buy. |
