I'm looking for any ideas you might have on locating my house generator. All of the conversion companys seem to locate it in the front drivers side compartment. I assume this is to keep it away from the bedroom area and the exterior living area under the awning. I was thinking about putting it in the old HVAC condenser half compartment located in the middle on the right side to make use of the vented door and the floor opening, used to circulate air through the conderser, to cool the generator. The other thought I had was to locate it on the other side (left/middle) and put a remote generator radiator in the condenser compartment. Any thoughs would be appreciated |

Most folks install it on the drivers side , so when parked next to other coaches the noise stench is blown on to the other fellows "front yard" .
That way you can still use your "front porch", even with the gen set on.
Same for air cond , usual to blow noise and heat into other fellows space.
Then if you install a slide out , guess whos space it projects into ?

Better yet, install a stack overhead and blow the stink over the roofline. Then it drifts across and down and lands in the front porch of the guy three or four sites over. Harder to pinpoint the offender that way.

The old evaporator bay is about the right size for a 13kW genset (or smaller) if you use a remote radiator. Have you removed the over-the-road a/c system yet? |

just a note ???? then I guess the guy parked on your passeaner side is paying you back for the guy your gen. and slide is disturbing ???? LOL.... |
