I got home late last nite, and my 7 month old Golden Retriever presented me with her crate FULL of #2 and #3. [#2 you know, but #3 is the oral kind.] Poor baby had gotten sick on a new chew treat I'd given her earlier in the day. My head was spinning (only 4 beers officer and heaping platter of Babe's Chicken). As soon as I opened the coach door I looked to see if I'd stepped in it on the way in. I got her on a long leash and outside with minimal tracking on the way out, then turned my head to the mess, errr... I mean away from the mess. PineSol has been my smell of choice so about a quart went into the stew, but to no avail. Then it dawned on me. Hadn't I just used an organic vapors mask to spray paint with? Yep, almost made all the smell go away; at least enought to concentrate on cleanup on Aisle One. I was able to slide and juggle the crate liner into a big plastic garbage bag and get everyting outside. After that it was just more PineSol and high pressure water. If you don't have an organic vapors mask, I'd suggest that you get one a. if you travel with a dog, b. if the grandkids aren't yet potty trained, c. (for the wife) if your Depends lets you down. So the lesson learned here today is: No NEW treats uless you are around to see the "end" results. Next time take the dog with you. He was just showing you how much he liked being in the "crate" while your out having fun without him.... My dogs have done the same thing, funny how they just stand there in the house and puke when there is a perfectly good doggy door they could go through and do it outside. . |
