Does the alternator on the generator (10k) need to be hooked in to charge bus batteries? I read somewhere that a bus wiring/charging system is set up so it has a slow charge so as not to overheat the batteries.. any help? |

Don't hook any thing to your bus batteries. They should be keep separate from every thing else. If it was good enough when it was a bus it id good enough now. |

It is ok to use a relay to cross connect battery systems for emergency use and to allow charging of one battery system from the other battery's charger or alternator. I know some folks don't like this Idea, but it got me started at Busin 2001 when I had one bad bus battery and good house batteries. It is nice to flip a switch to solve a problem. Steve Fessenden |
