I know everyone is going to laugh at me for this, but I am now looking at an MCI 7 that has tons of stuff in the bays - including fiberglass rear wheel fenders/extensions. How are these mounted? On my GMC, the old system of rubber and an aluminum plate is understandable. Would these fiberglass pieces have a fitting in the back to bolt to the body or is there some kind of adhesive used? |

There are usually screwed or riveted to the surface around the wheel opening. When we installed ours on our MC-8, we held the fenders in place, marked the ridges/flutes on the skin with a magic marker, then cut the flutes with a dremel tool. The flutes were then flattened and the fenders screwed in place. Some people remove the skins, install the fenders, then re-install the skin. There may be other ways as well. Jack |
