Hi! I recently purchased an MC7 that is stripped out. I am planning to convert it myself. I have found that no insurance co. here in Canada wants to touch it. Even the companies that others are using don't want it. Also it must be "professionally converted". From my experience in the hotrod industry I can do just as good or better job than the "professionals". Any ideas how to get around this? Thanks Roger

Call AON Private Risk Management at 800-521-2942. Tell what you have and what you want to do.

Roger,
Here in the US of A liability insurance is pretty easy to get but if you want more than that most insurers will not be helpful and some will take your money and not pay any claims so it's best to self insure all but liability.

try Lussier 514 842 9881
888 842 9881
they are quebec based but give them a call, great brokers, amasing rates. I haven't insured a bus with them, but call it an rv (as i'm sure you know). for my 68 volvo they needed a evaluation from a pro evaluator, and then they gave me an awesome price ($150.00 per year for $1,000,000.00 liability one way). This is more complicated if you wnt to drive it while in mid conversion, maybe if you put some tanks and a toilet, shower fridge and stove in there and get it evaluated you will be moving forward.

Back in 1992, I had to sign with the FQCC(FEDERATION QUEBEC CAMPING CARAVANING) ($40) in order to get decent rate for coverage. Still use that to day= full coverage 25K value $450.year.
FQCC=866-237-3722. insurace broker=Leclerc insurance=866-692-8482.
good luck
