When pulling off the air wiper trim below the windows, I noticed a seam sealer. At first, I thought it was plumbers putty that had hardened with time. It appears to be used all over the bus on seam ends and any place water might enter the coach. It is hard now, cracks easily and is removed easily. It's not RTV so what is it? | ||

Probably butyl. Buy it in a roll, or in a tube. It comes in black or white. Clean it off with dish detergent and sugar (50/50). | ||

If it cracks and is brittle, my guess is it's probably auto body caulk, used everywhere on auto body seams, available at auto body supply stores and some parts stortes. |
