How did it do before the rebuild?

Only 2K miles? Still breaking in. . .

"Rack" set right?

Engine "A" timed w/ N65s?

Fuel filters clean, especially secondary?

Air filter clean?

How heavy is the coach? Weight has a big effect.

Buses don't climb hills like cars do. . .

Hello Todd.

Simple thing: Is it smoking out the exhaust when the power goes away? Smoke means some fuel and air related imbalance like a clogged air filter or fuel rack not set up.

If the exhaust burns clean, check to be sure that the throttle is actually going to the full fuel position. Both at the governor and the whole throttle linkage back to the pedal.

I had the similiar experience, turned out to be unrelated to the motor. A cross member that the throttle linkage was attached to was rotten, and flexed under full throttle pedal movement. Net effect was the engine seemed to run fine on the flat, and then bogged out when a rise in the road was encountered.

Might be one of those coincidences unrelated to the motor work. Darn those bad bus ghosts!

happy coaching,
buswarrior
