Hey Folks.
Me and few friends have been shopping around for a 40ft bus for cross country travel. Our budget at the moment is limited so we plan to convert ourselves. It looks like we have found a suitable MCI that fits our needs. It will be stripped of current interior. Unfortunatly the bus is registered as a commercial vehicle and we need to take care of transfering it to recreational status.
Any suggestions on how to aproach this task here in northern California. I have heard varied stories and outcomes. I am trying to get an idea of how DMV will go about its inspection. I am all for throwing in a sleeping bag, camp stove and it has a toilet.
