Well after three years, 4 days in the shop we started my MC-7. The new motor made 343 hp on the dyno before we installed it (8V-71T) and I now have a 10 speed RTO, dry air filter and the 2 extra radiators I had with the stock setup. I did blow one of the last old power steering lines up front so all the rest are being replaced. Now if I could just remember how to hook up all the wires to the motor.

I count 5 roof air conditioners. My bus is a bit shorter but I can cool it with one 18,000 BTU/h ductless minisplit. At 103 outside I'm at 75 inside while driving in bright sunlight. I guess roof warts are VERY poor performers.

Larry;
Could you send me photos of your engine bay and floor layout? I am doing a 1968 MCI 7 no. 10056 and i am looking for ideas.

Thanks!

Congratulations on your accomplishment! You have a great looking coach. And living in Palm Srprings you need all the help you can get with the roof airs.
Happy Trails,

Paul

It takes all five air units to keep me cool at 100 MPH and I don't need a refrigerator. :o)

Larry, I made the switch from 8V71 to the 8V71TA (370 hp)last year. It runs very nice (cools with stock rads and a big tranny cooler)

Glenn,
I will send pictures next week and try and make a layout for you. I only go home on the weekends and have no camera with me, sorry.

Chuck,
I am almost done, just a few more wires and a box around the hole in the floor for the turbo. It would have been nice to have the same turbo setup you have but I have what I have. The turbo is forward and the pipes run around the front.
