A reminder about Kyle's "NON-Rally" at Palmetto Cove Campground coming up October 11 thru 14. The campground is located just West of I 26 in NW South Carolina. Google "Palmetto Cove Campground" and you'll find the website and can download a brochure. It's a nice flat all weather, full hookup campground. Plenty of room for us. Easy to access the campsite with a bus too. Enjoy good commune, BIG feeds, a little music (maybe even visit with the esteemed Capt Ron!). Another thread with good info is at: http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=5664.0 The only issue that may cause pain is that only totally self contained units are allowed to camp. Unfinished coaches are not an issue, as long as they are self contained. The park does not allow tent camping (self contained "steel tent" is OK), nor or there facilities for showers or restrooms. Palmetto Cove has hookups. This is "leaf season" in the area....great place to visit even without a bus rally...well, better with a bus rally!! Ya'll come'on over! Cheers, JR |

Just a mild correction here, JR, the requirement that all coaches (read buses as well) must be self contained is a SC Law...not a stipulation of the Campground. Just thought I'd throw that in so no one might get their nose out of joint with the Campground owners or the host. Bob |

Palmetto Cove is a rally park and has no bath house, therefore, only self contained unit allowed. Bath houses are required by state law to allow non self-contained unit to camp. Jack PS: wish we could make it. That area is BEAUTIFUL this time of year. |

Alright Jerry! I was hoping y'all would be there! We all had a great time in July at The Cove & I'm looking forward to another great time of felowship with fellow busnuts! There are plenty of full hook-up sites - water, sewer & 30A elec (There are a few 50A). |

Morning Jerry, There's a loose list of what's happening posted on the MAK board...about 200 total posts on two threads. I believe this link will take you to the most descriptive: http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=5664.0 There will be meals served by various groups. Spaghetti on Friday nite, Speedies chicken (whatever that is?) on Sat nite. Burgers for Sat lunch. Pancake breakfast some mornings. Bring your own plates, drinks, and utensils. I appears that most needs are met...as much as can be with such events. There will be an off the wall auction for the benefit of the Airstreames, and items that can be donated to auction are welcome. A bus swap meet is also planned...may not be a formal affair. I doubt the campground will tolerate a "yardsale" sort or look...? Take a look at the above posts and you'll get a good idea of what's happening. Go to the first page and you will see the "plan"! See you there, JR (Message edited by njt5047 on October 10, 2007) |
