There is more than one inverter brand/model known as "2512."

The Xantrex (formerly Trace) "SW2512" and "SW2512-MC2" inverter/chargers can be stacked, either parallel (higher current, but 120VAC only) or series (lower current, but 120/240). A proprietary "stacking cable" is required.

The manual for these models is available on the Xantrex website in .PDF format -- you might want to peruse it to ensure the unit will do what you want it to.

Sean,i was looking at both SW2512 models but i am getting more confused about what i need.i just know i need to change because the new LCD TV does not like the 2012s.and if there are better inverters than the sw2512s that i can stack please tell me, sales people just tell you what you want to hear and its the best made.and all of the sw2512 that friends of mine use seem to put out a lot of heat so i worry about that also. thanks for any help

Hey, I'm that needy person!!! I was parked next to you at the TX Roundup! Does that qualify, or did having an MCI parked next to you count against me??! LOL

I enjoyed meeting you and your wife then. Let's do it again!

Yes, i think i have a handle on it. I will probably be seeking some expert advice from the busnut community when it comes to the wiring!(I know enough to know I don't know enough!)

Yessir, I know. I originally just rigged 12v cheapo inverter power and planned to upgrade to 24 when I add solar a year or so from now. I'm mostly a power pole queen for the next several years so don't have high amp needs. A straight 12v inverter swap-out would be an upgrade, but not the final 24v solution I'm planning.

BTW, I'm still looking for a flight attendant seat like yours!

Well shore, Pauly! But ya gotta adjust those slacks first...
And then come up with 20 large somewhere. ;)
But only when you've matched the toad paint do you get to have crowing rights.

Tell ya what - let's have a Roundup in Mexico and get ours done at the same time for a quarter of the price. Deal? Say 2010? ;0

Hey Chucky,

I think the best thing to do is this. Let's have a bus painting seminar. Invite all of our busnut friends, cool beverages and have a bus painting contest. The one who wins buys! Kinda like a barn raising! ;)

"for some reason she was impressed with your ideas"

I burst out into the biggest belly-laugh I've had in months when I read the way you wrote that. I'll take that in a humourously way, ok? LOL

You just can't stand it that anyone would support Sonja with her 'wanna-be-a-bus' project, huh?

Please tell her I'm doing just fine, but the bus-work I've been doing lately has been more up your alley than hers. Replacing a few leveling valves, airlines, chambers...grubby, but rewarding work. She can park her mini-winnie next to me anyday. ;)

Well Paul, I really like that idea in theory. My only concern is that with those rapscallions holding the sprayer we'd wind up with something like this. further
Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course. ;)

Actually I plan to paint Dreamscape in the Spring. Gotta fix a bunch of stuff before then. It's gonna look like a big marshmallow. All puffy and white.
