Danny. I looked it up and it said "Location: Amador County" So I assume the bus is up there?? The owner is down here?? who knows. No photo in the ad. I love Gilligs. And Crowns. If I didn't already have, and wasn't scratching my head all the time with this darn MCI8 I have, I'd be more tempted. The price is almost too good. [?] Looked up location. > "Welcome to Amador County! Located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills about 45 miles southeast of Sacramento." Emailed the owner. If I get any more info I'll post it. Might actually be more of a bus for someone up in Sacramento area. Even though thats not too far. Thanks for posting. |

John. I saw this and thought "wow where did that come from??" Since I'm out here. Found a few other posts on this. Emailed the guy. We'll see if he gets back to me and if I got it, I'll try to post some additional info. As a sideline, I ran across this also: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/rvs/469077133.html Not sure its a deal but, interesting Flex. If someone has superhuman time on their hand, be neat to see it restored. The one thing I liked though was the old photo with the original "Sightseeing Tours" paint. Here is the information regarding the previous mentioned Craigslist Ad brought up here. I did in fact email and contact him. As I said, if I had any further information, I would just pass it along. Footnote: I am in no way affiliated with this guy, nor am I making any money off of this. If any of this information helps anyone, then great. I was going to post it in the Parts / Market section but it got brought up here and if it works out maybe someone else can post it. Let me know if it works or doesn't work out for you. Maybe someone else can verify all this. He used to own a city A/C bus service. He has 3 large main "city bus type" roof air systems. 15,000 to 32,000 btu's. A lot of A/C hoses, pulleys and alternators. He also has a bunch of OEM Starters and alternators for MCI's and Detroits. He said he would charge ?275 per starter which I believe would be without a core exchange. ? He is willing to sell inventory per part plus ship or the whole lot. All of the parts are brand new. Jose 323-327-1534 He said he used to be the main supplier of bus parts to City of miami , west palm beach and broward county. NOT RELATED, ON A SIDENOTE - FYI - I just got off the MCI Online Parts Store and noticed they had some coupon in there for: 30% OFF wiper blades and refills. 25% OFF wiper motors and components. November to Dec. 31st only. I think you can just go to a MCI Service Center and give them this number for the discount. MCI Service Center Code: 11C7 ??maybe a nice time to change the blades or motors?? Just another side piece of info might help someone. Good luck. |
