Any ideas on how to get rid of bus seats other than a landfill? I have three seats from my bus I need to get rid of before I move next year.

I have an ad to give them away on Craigslist, but no bites yet. I advertised them as good for fishhouses, hunting shacks, and the like.

I pulled the foam and covers off mine and threw those away. I took the frames to a metal recycler and got $19 for them. It covered gas (which would have been spent taking them to a landfill anyway) and paid for lunch.

I gave mine to a hunter for hunting shacks, he even came and picked them up. Got lucky I think.

Parking them at the curb with a "FREE" sign attached has been done successfully before. You might be amazed!

If you want them to go even faster change the sign from free to $20. :-)

hey a quicker way is to put them out on the curb, tie them together, put on a sign a stupid price and leave them overnight and 99% of the time they will be taken overnight because they think that they have a treasure for nothing> LOL

I was able to sell mine...and my video monitors - $1,500 for both.

Hardest I ever worked - moving 25 rows down my stairs, up the stairs of a 102C3, all in less than an hour.

Another friend put one pair each few days by a dumpster. Each pair would be gone the next morning. Took a couple of weeks and they were all dispersed across the city to people who wanted them. I'll bet more than a few are porch seats now.

There was another guy on here a long time ago who left a pair at each rest stop he stopped at on his maiden trip home. That worked! :-)

You might be a redneck if you have bus seats on your front porch.

My bus is a Dina and I only have three sets of seats so I think selling them for bus use is out. My bus only had 7 or 8 sets of seats in it to start with.

I did get a nibble from my Craigslist ad. I need to send pictures.

I suppose setting them by the road isn't a bad plan.

List them on eBay for a dollar. eBay will give you lots of publicity. Craigslist is good too and free. I listed mine on eBay and a church from L.A. contacted me wanting them. They even came up and helped me pull them out. Turns out that someone had donated a bus to them but it had no seats in it. They brought their empty box up and we parked them door to door and just unbolted them and carried them across.
