How often is a valve adjustment needed on the 8V71. I have never read a blurb on valve adjustments. Does anyone on the board adjust their valves on a regular basis? It appears to be a real pain to remove the valve covers in the cramped quarters in the engine bay. Help, John

John
I adjusted my valves in 1991 when the 8V71 was installed and they weren't touched till I installed new injectors 10 years later. Change your oil on a regular basis with a name brand straight grade and there is very little wear. Bill
