I have been on other Boards and to me this has got to be the best Bus or RV board in the world!
We bought a MC-5A 3 years ago to live in and Travel its a great coach so far it was converted in 1987 in Denver as a gray hound she ran the Seatle to La run as far as the gray hound rec. I found.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your kind words. Enjoy the ride in your 5A - great little coach. Arnie Smith, who was one of the founders of WoBN (World of Bus Nuts) along with Donn Danielson & Lee Davis - sort of the original organized gang that brought this hobby to national attention about a dozen years ago, or so - also drives a '69 MCI MC-5A. You're in good company!

Arnie wrote several very good articles about the fundamentals - the initial stages of getting into the hobby and selecting a first bus. As we progress through time in this peculiar little hobby, we can sometimes lose track of the basics and why we're all here. I go back, every now and then, to review Arnie's timeless advice, putting the hobby back into perspective for me each time. "Arnie's Articles" can be found elsewhere on the BNO BBS.

This bulletin board system's Flea Market was first suggested by one of the old-timers in this hobby - author of The Bus Converter's Bible, Dave Galey. At about the same time, Arnie asked me if I knew of a way to preserve the name "WoBN" in a respectful way (it had been somewhat shelved when Zane Good, owner of www.rv-coach.com, switched his mainstream bus conversion web site to focus on recreational vehicles of all kinds), so I suggested the section of this bulletin board dealing with Dave's suggestion of a parts swap and parts source locator - thus its name, "WoBN's The Flea Market". You'll find other parts swap web site sections on the internet, but all of them are just copies of this one, without the history & character.

Wow! Sorry, I got a little nostalgic blowing the dust off those old memories. Forgive me for reminiscing!

I sincerely appreciate your being here, Rob. Thank you again.

Enjoy :~)

Ian
