I would welcome any recommendations from anyone of the best place to have a Sheppard steering put in my 1967 4502, Suburban fishbowl. At the present it has a power steering converted unit that best can be described as pickle fork steering. A lot of slop and of course wandering. What I would like done is replace with Sheppard and hopefully a tilt column installed. We would prefer to have the work done on the west coast, Oregon would be ideal. After 9 plus years of full timing in the bus I think I've earned some decent steering. Thanks in advance Al Newell peregrines@earthlink.net |

Check with Dave at Southern Oregon Diesel in Eugene Oregon. He does excellent work. I recently had front end completely re-built and changed out my stock radiator fan for a high volume fan. Richard |

If your power steering works good and your big problem is road wander. I would recommend you go to Steer Safe in Deming NM.Have them to install their unit on your bus. It is the best 320$ I ever spent in my life. It made my bus a pleasure to drive. |
