Although I only recently started following this board again, I used to read it regularly a couple of years ago. I recognize some of the old names though, so maybe they can help me with the outcome of an argument that was in progress when my attention was diverted.

At that time, a gentlemen known as Two Dogs was in the process of installing electric fans to cool his Eagle (I guess with a Native American name like Two Dogs, he would have to have an Eagle). Anyway, there were many that said it would be impossible to get enough cooling exclusively from electric fans. I never saw the outcome of that experiment and have always been curious to find out if the bumble bee could fly. Does anyone remember what happened?

Short answer. No it did not work and the guy that furnished the money for the fans never got his money back.

Unfortunately, it didn't work and left many bad feelings. Sometimes this happens, I believe on many forums, when people won't listen to collective wisdom on things like: cooling fan capacity, magic thin insulation, magic heat, etc,.

Moe, just take a look at the horsepower requirements for the fan. With very little research, you will have your answer.

One of the great things about this board is that it archives everything, forever. Here's the thread:
