Okay , I live on the east coast (Murrells Inlet,SC). Where from everyone's vast experience would you take a bus to get it re-painted.It was done in 1994 is fading and flaking needs to be redone. 1977 Eagle pictures if this link works http://good-times.webshots.com/album/561784175sDFHhC |

__. Ed, it's reasonably close for you. I got my bus painted at Central Carolina Coach Works (336) 861-4487 4956 Old Marlboro Rd Sophia, NC 27350 (near High Point NC). They do a lot of the "New Orleans cat-house style" Nashville entertainer buses, as well as more ordinary jobs (school buses, church buses, conversions, etc.) __. Their work is *excellent*. And their paint booth is big enough to fit my double-decker in, so it's bound to be big enough for yours! |

I would recommend Star Jet in Columbus OH, 614-488-6784. Dick Cahill does a excellent job and has on occasion agreed to come to your place and do the painting. Prather |

Not saying they do a good job, but I saw a MCI 102A3 at the local MAACO getting a paint job a few weeks ago. The paint job looked good from the street when I was driving by. I had no idea MAACO could even get a bus inside their building. The door doesn't look big enough for a bus. |

knowing what they do on car paint jobs....that scares me. Be sure to spend the money on good paint and prep. my 4104 had 28 year old imeron on it that looked like new |

hey guys it is IMRON and it doesn't IMPLODE duuh it merely blows OFF when not properly applied. Got that CHESSIE? LOL. I used acrylic enamel because when it fades or dissappears in the sunset I will let someone else have my toy to paint whatever color they want to and will be easier to get off haha. keep cool Chessis Gomer |

Jerry , I am going to check that place out in the first couple of weeks in Jan. weather permitting. The eagle is in the mountains of Va. right now.As It turns out I go within a couple of miles of this shop to my mom's . I talked to this guy already on the phone sounds like I will probably leave him the bus on the way back to sc.Couldn't give me an exact price till he sees it and what I want, but I do know it will need to be stripped being as the clear coat is peeling.I know it is a expensive undertaking , I painted many a car and truck in my day,but this is more than I care to take on.Strip and prepare any problem areas paint from bottom of windows up one color martin-seynor urethane $4500 .More for two colors or stripping you know the deal.Anyway thats all the beast needs and then I can drive it bad leg an all won't have to mess with putting an auto in the McI(anyone interested) |

__. Ed, the excellent prep was one of the factors that made me most happy with their results on my bus. My bus has lots of fibreglass panels and they needed detailed TLC. They did a great job with this and the spray booth allowed a beautiful final coat. __. I feel that they did a great job for me. |

Hi Guy's, In Paint, You get what you pay for. Emron is great stuff but very labor intence. Today's high proformance coatings are Urathane's which are more durable then emron. With base coat/ clear coat, you will use far less pigmont then solid color paints. The color can be as less as 1 coat or two. then 8 to 10 coats of clear on a bus will last a lifetime. Good Luck Nick- PS, I'm also a StarJet Paint Customer. Dick & Dee Cahill are wonderfull folks. |
