Hello Busnuts
I have made the 9 other entries in Michigans places to stay below this entry. There is way to many campgrounds in Mi to list all the good ones.
Its like Florida there is 100`s and 100s of places to camp. I picked some of our favorite ones and listed 10 of them.

Sorry about my spelling and for ratteling on about some of them.

I listed these 4 state parks because. They are all just the best Michigan has to offer. And right on Lake Michigan`s sandy beaches.
If you like Sandy beaches, fresh water swimming, walks on the beach and Beautiful Sunsets over an 80 mile wide lake. Or people watching, Any one of these will make you happy. Don`t forget the suntan lotions and sandles. The sand and dunes get hot, Bikini City hot in the summer.

Pentwater (Mears)is tight and not many sites large enough for a 40 foot coach. But the sandy beach is awesome. We sometimes just day park at Mears State park.

Ludington SP is the best 4 sure and the hardest to get into. Make a reservation 6 months in advance, at any of these 4.

Grand Haven SP is know for Kites and its beautiful beach, pier and the musical water fountains. A great board walk to channel watch the big boats come in and out.

Holland has a hudge beach and tulip time is flower city in that town.

Charter service boats are nearby. Or just fish off the piers. Its busy in the summer as most of michigans resort towns are. We like these state parks. Hope you enjoy my information on Michigans campgrounds below.
