For what it's worth.

Since I'm not selling them and it's not an eBay item.

I just ran across these.

Looks like Colorado Utilities is letting go of a few 102 Series 60's.

Not saying they are good buses.
I have no idea what they are worth or what they will go for.
But a small lot of slightly banged up Series 60's nonetheless.

And just think of the opportunities to stuff all manner of bigger conversion goodies in through the wheelchair lift door!

The future busnuts' eyes will glaze over when we tell stories of pulling windshields to get a modest sized house 'frig into the bus...

It will all come too easily to them....again!

oh well.

happy coaching!

for some of you more mature converters, this would be a good option.

and build out to allow for wheelchair access

Douglas -

I agree. That's what I thought.
They sure do look banged up for 102's. A lot of damage. States some have problems with air.
The engine on most looks alright I guess for mileage.
Too much money for me. I would never buy one without full inspection for sure. I have no idea what one goes for anyway. Sometimes if they don't sell, they relist them and drop the price.

Oh boy. Your looking at someone who, will indeed, sometime in the future, be trying to fit in a fridge or sofa through the front windshield. Lucky me.
Good thing I guess my windshield has got a crack in it. It needs to be replaced anyway, just have to wait a bit. But if I get there I'm sure I'll have a story to tell.

Ya'll are too critical! IMHO, if those buses have not had major body repair due to wrecks,(this would be easy to inspect for) every one of those buses will rise in price. They are all a steal deal now. Most will probably bring close to $40K before the bidding ends.
If they were anywhere near North Carolina, I'd bid on one of them...they would be worth towing home. Even if they didn't run. Anything less than $30K would be a steal for anyone that can do their own work.
A clean 102D with an S60/6 speed auto will bring $60K and up...way up.
They'll be interesting to watch.

Did anyone get exactly how much these went for?

It was rather a blur towards the end. I didn't see in the end what they actually went for, but during the last 12 hours they were only at around $30,000. All 5 of them. Not a bad price for a 102.
