Underneath the cockpit and electrical panel on my Eagle there is a "black box" looking thingy. It has a place in which to plug a female end of an extension cord, and other places to attach wiring. I AM ASSUMING THIS TO BE A CONVERTER, AM I CORRECT IN MY ASSUMPTION? If this is the case, could I run a wire from my genset and plug into this box and run my interior lights from this rather than off my bus batts, as I am now doing? Would I be gaining anything. The reason I am asking is that we sometimes park for several hours at a time (at concerts, we are a gospel quartet) and run our interior lights. I might be unneccesarily worried, but every once in a while, I will crank the bus to build up the batts, in fear that if I don't I might hit the starter and nothing happen. Tell me what you guys think and whether it would be worth doing, as well as your instruction on how to hook it all up. |

You ought to check for any manufacturer, numbers, details etc.. I wouldn't want to assume anything when it comes to connecting electrical stuff. Is there a cover on it? Do you have a picture you can post? |
