Is there someone that can either look behind the plate between the windshield wipers or perhaps from exeperience tell Me where the spring connects too? I think that one end hooks to the bolt attaching the ball joint but cannot figure out where goes to. How do You s tretch the spring? Thanks John

Hi there are two springs in that area I believe the one you are asking about is the one that goes on the bottom of the bolt that goes threw the ball joint to the bolt at the bottom of the hand crank shaft it's purpose is to keep the hand lever from rattleing when you go down the road. the other spring is a return spring at the bottom of the arm that the outside door opener push's on. I hope this helps. The following web sit has some good Pics that may help. Dave lhttp://www.gumpydog.com/bus/MC9_WIP/Structural/Dash/dash.htm

David, thanks for the input. I beleive that You answered My question. There is a bolt that is screwed into the casting that supports the handle assembly. I assume that is the one attaching point. Tried gumpy and could not find anything. Gumpy does really nice work, much impressed with His site and work. Thanks again, John
