Just installed new modulator & read the Williams' instructions for the first time. They call for 1/4" air line. I am running 3/8" air line. Do you think that it makes any difference? |

No,smaller might be a problem, but larger should be ok. Donn |

It has been several years since I installed our air throttle, but I thought Williams spec'ed 3/8" from the throttle pedal to the TEE in the engine compartment and 1/4" from the TEE to the throttle actuator and transmission modulator? (actuator and modulator lines are to be equal length) My understanding was that this was done because when the throttle is released the air has to vent back to the exhaust port on the throttle pedal in the front of the bus and the 3/8" tubing would allow a faster venting. I have slept many nights since then and I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. At my age, I am no longer responsible for my memory. LOL Jack |

Interesting point. But wouldn't a 3/8 line have more volume and take just as long to bleed off as the smaller 1/4 line? |

My impression was that a larger air line could induce damping (or sluggish response)I haven't installed my air throttle yet but I planned on using a 1/4" line less volumn less damping! I could be mistaken here anyone else have any input? |

My bus has a 3/8" line from the pedal to a "T" on the engine. From there equal length 1/4" braided hoses to the throttle and modulator,Just as Jack's not so failing memory. Donn |
