Well here we go it has been very cold here and have not started the 4905 in a month or more. When I toggle the starter just get a klick sound under the driver seat. I have start batteries charged up and I think enough juice. If I have to tap on the starter where is it on the 4905? I have had the engine heater on for a couple of weeks and temp is in the mid 40's. I hope someone has some sugestions. Thanks Ian and you all on the board for all of the support. 4905 Larry |

Larry, The starter is on the forward side of the engine. If you look throught the transmission door at the engine, you can see it just below the transmission linkage (if you still have a stick tranny). There is a cover inside the bus (probably hidden by your bed) on top of the "step" that the old rear seat and toilet sat on. If you have long arms, you can reach it from there. Mine did the same thing once. The small wire that attaches to the solonoid had come loose. I just cleaned the contacts and had no problem. Always make sure you are in neutral before doing anything with the starter! |

Thank you much Glen, I changed out the stone bennett shifter in the pilots area and have not had time to check to make sure its rite. I just wondered about the klick sound coming from under the pilot chair, thot it should come from the rear. May get check better and more tomoro. Thanks larry |
