A fellow bus nut , Darell Purser has ask me to post this info for him. He think it's important, especially to the Flexible and GMC owners.

"I took a trip down to a place called Cardinal Coach in Warsaw, NC to pick up a left rear level sensor today. While there I took a visual inventory of their parts buses. They had three Flex's, at least a half dozen GMC's, and many MCI's {some Eagles also}. The Flex's are pretty complete. One has a lot of rust issues. The GMC's are fairly complete, with one 4905 having a good running 8-71 and 730 trans. It belongs to someone else who has left it there for about five years with hopes that Cardinal Coach would sell it for him. Cardinal says it's a good runner. There is another 4905 with caps that looks real good except for some damage to the left side above the windows (tree damage??) It's tight, I walked inside and there wasn't any water (rained 3" last night). They have many MCI's of all years and in all levels of condition. I asked them where they have been advertising, and they said they haven't, but are about to open an Ebay store. If you're looking for some odd parts, or even a complete coach, these guys might have it. (jharris at intrstar dot net) is their email. I do not have any personal interest in the company, just passing on another source for parts and old coaches to fellow bus nuts."

I am familiar with Cardnal Coach myself having been there a number of times and Darell's info is correct.

Enjoying the journey in NC.

Ahh... not sure! Some of those southern folk bus nuts have labeled me as a "black sheep" and haven't made a very warm welcome so it's still up in the air! I know Manny, Joe, and I are always looking for new places to go so we'll see! Joe's a pretty big guy so I might be safe if he'll watch my back! LOL

Ace,
I am in your back yard as we speak--visiting with Mickey & Minnie at their house with the grandsons.

When I get back home (2 March) we will have the details and registration form available.

I think we just might have a pork butt or two left over -- guess that means we will have some good old "NC Pork Bar-B-Q"

Hey, Ace, we know U and we don't care what the others think of U. U R welcome -- Guess what -- U ain't the only "black sheep" ---- there will be others among us.

Space is limited - we only have 25 sites reserved so I would suggest U get your reservation made.

Bring your picking gear -- JR and the rest of us need company. Looking forward to seeing U three.

Enjoying the journey in NC,

gene

__. "Cardinal" is right in my backyard. They are very enthusiastic about buses and have a reputation for being helpful in a practical way. They're also known as being "community oriented" - doing things like sponsoring little league teams, etc. which - to my mind - gives a glimpse into the kind of people they are.

__. I haven't had a lot of direct bus dealings with them but I'd certainly suggest that anyone give them a try.
