OK I have questions about the prosine 3.0 12 volt inverter charger. Are they stackable??? What is needed to automatically start the genset??? How do some of you guys/gals install 2 alternators to charge start batteries (140 to 200 amp "truck type") and house battery bank (50DN ALTERNATOR)

p.s. please talk to me as if I was a 2 year old therefore, it just might "sync"!!!

Bill, call Dick Wright about the prosine being stackable I don't think they are and for the auto start for the genset it has to have the engine managamet system Call Dick at 541-744-4333 and they will explain the systems for you. I don't know how the systems work myself

I was told yes I could stack them...then I was told no I couldn't stack them. I was told that the prosine was an unstackable unit unless I was looking to go to 240 volt. I have no idea what I'm doing. I was looking to get about 4k to 5k watts from stacking the units then I would be able to run a basement unit off of the with a sufficient bank. I guess I'll put the one unit in and use it for now. I will get something else figured later on.

__. Bill, I also have no idea what I'm doing with volts and electrons and things. So, I'd be interested to know how big a battery bank you'd need to run 4-5K watts of 240 basement unit and how long that setup would run.

__. I think that "generally accepted knowledge" would say that it isn't practical. But I don't know what I'm doing with volts and electrons and stuff.

I have stacked trace inverters in my bus and I am waiting for the new 3800 watt from Magnum to hit the market in Jun or Jul stacking is not the way to go for me

I calle Xantrex today and confirmed

The prosine 3000 DOES NOT STACK - either parallel for double the amps or serial for double the voltage - NO STACKING FEATURE

NO AUTO GEN START feature either
