Boy is this fun! Got all the structure finished and the old interior roof panels cut up, and even got one "window covering" panel installed just behind the driver! The framework over the windshileds was a bit meticulous but it's done. Now the bus feels stiff and tight as if I never raised it a foot!! Here's the photos from the last two days:http://heartmagic.com/zzroofraiser2 Click the photos for bigger pics Cheers!! Gary |

Hi Henry! Many more photos coming, but truthfully I've been working so hard on the conversion that I've found little time for formatting and loading all the pics. It'll be a month or so then I'll create a webpage devoted to this project. At this point the walls are all sealed up, windows in, a great deal of it foamed and interior walls in, 4spd tranny replaced w/ 9 spd.overdrive and 2 plate clutch (that was a bugger!!), and today I'm putting new tires on. My goal is to take it on it's first trip in about 5 weeks...so I have a LOT to do in a short time... Oh yeah, the exhaust brakes at that junkyard are on an IDENTICAL engine to mine, a naturally aspirated Cummins NHH220 pancake. But I found a set of Jakes for my engine, so that's the way I'm gonna go... Cheers! Gary |
