Ok, here is my idea. I have an MCI-9 with wiper that are not parallel when stopped, they go to the right when stopped. The wipers are like the bus on the homepage of this site with the eagle on it. Anyway, is there a way I can make them line up in the middle like newer coaches and have the speeds and movement be the same when running them? Hope you understand

I can stop mine where ever I like. I park them in the middle. To syncronize them I think you would have have them running from the same motor. IBP sells some sort of conversion kit.

I have not investigated the wiper system enough to know how the conversion works or even if it is worth doing. You might be able to install a 12V wiper motor from a salvage yard and drive both wipers at the same time. Since the park feature is built in to the motor, your wipers would automatically park when shut off. Where they park would depend on how you set up the linkage.

I ended up converting to the electric system with intermintent after a 500 mile trip in the rain. The conversion kits go right in and the intermintent and auto park is great.

However, I would not go through IBP again, go direct to Autec in New York or the other guys that advertise in Bus Conversion Mag.

Another reason I changed out the old air system was to get down to one control on my new dash and instrument panel. I did the change out while I had the front interior and exterior apart and I did not want to go back to it later.

Underdash space in a MC-9 is very tight - it would be difficult to make a junkyard wiper motor work. The 2002 D4500 has Bosch electric wipers from the factory - the motor shafts are different sizes, but otherwise it'll just bolt into the hole that the old air wipers came out of.
