Hey Larry,
There should be an air tank under the driver's seat by that valve you saw, another above the battery bank, and I think one in front of the drive axel between the frame. If your bus had the pnumatic tag axles, there may still be one in between the frame rails in the third (rearmost) luggage bay.

I think the air valve you saw is an emergency fill spot to relase the brakes, but someone else may know better. It's been while since I looked at one.

I can't think of what might be clicking under the seat. Are your batteries up to full? Are the terminals clean? Didn't you work on the starter a while back? Are those terminals clean? I hope this helps a bit!

P8M4905A air tanks & location
One air tank under drivers seat area drain valve on tank.
2-air tanks above the battery compartment 2 drain valves inside of fuel tank fill door location.
1-Air tank aft bulkhead behind the last 3rd baggage bin (Note) it's forward of the rear axle area.Drain under tank
1- small tank called the hot tank in the engine compartment down stream from the air compressor discharge line.
The tire fill valve is for the spare tire behind the rear bumper inside of the spare tire compartment there is a hose that connect to the spare tire service stem.
This allows you to check the air in the spare with out having to lower the front bumper and removing the spare tire.
Are you sure the relay you hear is not located in the electrical side panel next to the drivers seat under the side window?

Glenn and JL
Thank You
First Yes the batteries show full on multimeter, and clean.
Can't see how to get to the starter yet may have to cut into the floor to get to it. I installed a new Stone Bennett shifter thinking this mite be a problem, NOt,and the clicking may be on my left side did not think of it. I have a cover on that I will take it off. Should be able to tell.
Was wanting problem of no start to be a connetction I could get to and clean.
Looks like I will have to get a Mechanic out to repair. Thanks for help and I have not drained all of tanks it sounds like Larry

The place to start is to clean the ground where the battery grounds to the coach body.

This is always a rough place to keep big juice flowing.

If it cranks , just too slowly , simply touch VERY LIGHTLY each connection you can .
The RED HOT terminal is next to clean.

Larry, don't cut into the floor. The starter access is through a (moderately) small panel under the rear seat (bench seat) cushion location. You should also be able to reach it through the transmission side of the engine - the starter is between the engine and the bulkhead.

The maintenance manual should show where the access panel is. Caution, too - the starter is an extremely heavy item.

Hi FF and Arthur
Thanks, weather here and taxes and all kinds of stuff make it hard to spend much time looking for trouble. All I get is klick when trying to start.Have done most of the easy stuff inside. I didn't do conversion so have to look in rear cabinant for hole to engine. Also can see starter but everything so solid can't see how the tap I did on it did any good. Also tried the rear start and it seems to be disconnected, altho wires connected. Am not much of a heavy mechanic, just able to do little things. Thanks alll Larry
