I purchased an autostart unit and unfortunatly was not asked if our generator needed a preheat mode to start. Well they sent me one that is for a gen that does not have a preheat mode and I can not use it and can not return it. It can be set up for 12 or 24 volt, autostart on low battery voltage as well as a setting for autostart when cabin temps get too high(adjustable both) also has a quiet time feature and a remote panel. This is probably good for someone with a gas gen and a inverter who does a lot of dry camping. Anyone interested? 1/2 price or trade. Never installed. Still in the box. Lemeno |

That is a very stiff anti return policy. Could you share the company name you purchased it from? I would be very hesitant to buy anything from someone who treats me like that. If you you bought from a private party, I understand; otherwise I wouldn't support a vendor like that. David |

It is an electrical component and it isin't too often they are returnable. and I purchased it a while back. Standard procedure. They are a great co. AAP. Will deal with them again. National source for Cruisair as well. |

FWIW, you can buy a device to convert your "three wire start" generator to a "two wire start", and then the autostart unit you have will work just fine. Or, I can tell you how to make a two-wire start control using a pair of adjustable cube timers, but, unless you've got timers kicking around, that's probably just as expensive and certainly more effort than buying the little converter box. BTW, this really belongs down in the flea market, so don't be surprised when it disappears -- just look for it down there, where Ian will have moved it. -Sean http://OurOdyssey.BlogSpot.com |

I apologize to everyone for that, you are correct Sean. Thank you for your offer, however, the correct one is already in place for some time now. I was holding the wrong one for some friends who I thought might want it. |
