I would like opinions on which bay you prefer for your generator installation. I am leaning toward drivers side front bay because we will hang out on the other side of the coach mostly and also this is the most forward position from the rear stateroom making the noise as far away as possible. Opinions? |

We put ours in the compartment where the AC condensor was in our MC-8. Left (driver's) side in front. Worked out well. |

Mine is basically under the front passenger seat. Noise is not much of an issue if you soundproof it's box properly and route the exhaust away from where you spend your time (mine goes under the bus, up the wall on the drivers' side and out the roof) so if you do it right it can be almost anywhere.... I used the left front bay. Oppsite side to where we sit out and farthest from rear bed room. Seems to be the perfect spot. Rad is remote, cooled by air drawn in from a hole cut in front bulkhead between the front wheels and exausted down through the bay floor. Gen in seperate sound proof cabinet. Rad colling fan is Squirrel cage 2700cfm. Gen cooling fan is Squirrel cage 750cfm. Gen size is 13K wrico four cyl diesel.Exaust exits out the side of coach in front of drive axle duels.( 1980 Prevost bus) |
