Short answer: not the way there was before. Longer answer: The myriad of competing interests between sharing information, privacy of those participating, security of the site, the liability/morality/good taste of seeing unintended or unwanted posts, the functionality of the newer chat software, all must be weighed. There are a lot of misguided and mean spirited people out there who prowl around the internet looking for nice folks to pick on.
