I have started my 1984 MC-9 bus conversion. I have removed everything out of the bus including the hair balls in the heat ducts. I plan an 8" raise and hope to get this done this summer. My question is which bays would you reccomend for Generator,Webestor 2010, Battery bank with inverter, and hot water heater. I plan back bay for water tanks? Thanks John |

The usual is somewhere on the drivers side of the coach. This dumps the noise and stench into the folks in the next camp spot, instead of under your awning. FF |

John, I put my tanks in the rear bay. You can do it differently, but you just want the toilet to be directley over the black tank with a straight drain. Some people do have some angle to the toilet plumbing, but straight always works. If your original bus air conditioning is being removed, some people can get the genset to fit in the condenser bay. I'm putting mine in the first bay on the drivers side and I will draw air into the radiator through the condenser bay. I'm also putting the inverter in the first bay passenger side to keep it close to the batteries, but seperate from the batteries. The original batteries will be for the house systems and I am putting two group 31 batteries where the old air conditioning compressor used to be. This is a pretty common change. I think you'd want to put the Webasto back there too, or in the last bay with your tanks. I'm using propane for heat, so I'm sure some other guys will chime in there. My hot water heater is propane also and I put it above the floor on the driver's side through the wall. With a webasto, you could put the hot water tank anywhere that you have room for it. Good luck and feel free to keep asking questions! Glenn |

Glenn thanks that is kind of what I had in mind but thought I would ask anyhow. I am going to leave the factory air for now as it looks to be fairly new. I thought about taking Generator air from condenser bay but thought it would hinder air flow for the condenser. I might have to get kind of creative on that one. John |

I chose the left front for house inverter and batteries as was the closest to bus batteries and fr junction box I did run the shore line to the rear bay with the tanks. then you could put the genny in the mid left side. Jerry |
