I have a 1974 GMC 4905 that I can't get to air up. With 120 lbs of shop air I don"t hear any leaks. The last time I drove it was in Dec. and about 40 mile from home I noticed that the coach was squatting. I stopped , walked around the coach but could not hear any air leaks and the pressure guage was holding ok. So drove home, blocked it up and thought I would fix it in the spring. Well I think spring is here. I thought it mite be the pressure protection valve so I got one from Luke but that didn"solve the problem. Everything airs up but the bags.

I had a MCI do what you are saying and it was because of a valve that was bad not letting the air go from one tank to the other.I have no idea how many tanks you have on a GM but someone here will know what is causing your problem good luck

Maybe some lines or valves are frozen since you do live in cold country.

Or a valve may be rusted.

First step which is easy, confirm all tanks have air in them, crack open the drain valves to be sure.

Work downstream from there to the suspension, checking along the way. Something either has to let out air or be plugged/nonfunctional.

let us know what you find!

happy coaching!

Drain valves may have been removed over the years
