This is our 4th winter in Yuma. The first 2 years here i was able to walk into Canyon State Oil and buy Delo 100 40wt. right off of the shelf so to speak. Last year they had to order it and it took almost 2 months before they were able to get any. This year i figured that i wouldn't be able to get any as i had heard that it is no longer made. On the spur of the moment a couple of days ago i went there and asked if they had any. They said they thought they had 3 cases of gallons. Turns out they had ordered 9 cases and got 3. I bought them all...:>) Cost was $71.10 a case. If anybody is in the Yuma area next winter and has a 2 stroke and uses Delo 100 they might want to check with them and see if they have any on hand or if they can order it. Maybe if enough people do that they will try to keep more on hand. |

I went to a local fuel and oil distributor a couple of years ago and bought a drum of Exxon XD3 40w as the Delvac 1100 series 40w is no longer offered. Glad I did now as #1: who knows how hard it will be to get in 5 years, B: the cost would be twice as much now, and #3: you use a lot of oil to change and top off, so a drum doesn't last as long as you'd think. |

Exxon XD3 is every bit as good for the DD2S as the Delo 100, and much easier to get. |

I was going to ask them about Exxon but thought i would ask about the Delo just to see what they would say. Never did ask them about the Exxon after they said they had Delo. |

We have switched to Shell Rotella T , in the straight 40 its CF2 so approved for the DD engine. Lots easier to get at NAPA , at $51 or so for the 5G pail. FF |
