Looking for the cheapest way to get a MC-9 Parlor door from Richmond VA to Wisconsin. I bought it in January on E-bay to replace my bifolds on my 5C and the seller thought he was going to be coming through here on his way west. That fell through, so I have to get this heavy beast shipped here. Any money saving ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I paid 895.00 to ship a 47 Mack fire engine from Ohio to east coast in New Jersey. This was back in late 03 when diesel was "cheap".
It was a little over 12,000 Lbs. I can't imagine what a heavy bus would be now.
Does it run? If the seller was going to be that way, sounds like it is driveable. It might be cheaper to pay someone to drive it to you. One rental car or plane ticket to the bus and fuel back. Or you could get an unlimited mileage weekend car rental and get two people to drive to the bus so they would have a car to follow on the way back.

I have done all sorts of crazy things. I drive the 47 Mack...OPEN cab...mind you, 1230 miles across I-70 at 45 MPH. It got 5.2 MPG on its best tank full. That was a 510 cu in gas Mack engine.

Cameron,
He is only shipping the "Parlor Door".

John/Barb,
I am having 3 bay doors shipped from York PA to Memphis TN. When I get the cost I'll let you know.
Or
You could call a shipping company and with the dimensions/weight they can usually calculate the cost.
