The seats are out (anyone want a bunch of seats?), the wall panels are coming out this week. The "new" engine is at the machine shop getting bored. I think I've found my heaters: made by Temco, radiant propane heaters (actually, nat. gas, but can be converted). Still working on hot water, though. I found a propane tank, & will drop it off tomorrow to be recertified. No luck on fresh or gray water tanks yet--any ideas? Still leaning towards a "sunken" shower, drained with a small pump. |

Try www.ardemco.com for rotational molded one-piece tanks. They are made to order from dozens of pre-existing molds. Prices are reasonable and they UPS. Scott |

Thanks--I'm currently hunting for used tanks, but Ardemco sounds like it's worth a look. |

Go to the 'Flea Market' tab on this board. There's a guy that does (or used to) have a tank for sale. Henry |

Ok, I'll spill the beans because I got mine now.. http://www.ronthebusnut.com/Product_Cat.asp?CatID=45 $45 bucks for either a new 50 gal potable tank or new 45 gal (aprox) sewage tank.. excellent deal! Three of the potables fit right under my mattress for 150 gallons of storage... Cheers Gary Stadler |

Hmmm. Thanks, guys! I might have a line on some used tanks (waiting for a phone call), but, if it doesn't work, those sound good. I want at least 100 gallons of gray-water (125-150 is better), though. I suppose I could use 2 tanks...... |

In my humble opinion, the radiant propane heaters create a problem unless your coach is really well vented. I used one this last winter in Anchorage, AK, and it produces more water vapor to freeze against the windows than heat. I wouldn't have another one for long term use. May be fine for a weekend, but in long periods of cold weather, they stink. Lee |

Radiant heater? Are you sure it wasn't a catalytic heater? The ones I'm using are vented--they use outside air, & the exhaust goes outside. They should (am I missing something here?) be totally vapor-freee inside. |

Where does one find a catalytic heater that vents to the outside. i.e. What brand? All the ones I have info on let the burned gases into the coach. I know they were made at one time, but my attempts to find one in the past few years have not been successful. |

Yes, the vented brand that was made was called: Platinum Cat. However, they are out of biz now. Best bet is finding a used one. (I scored on mine. Found in the classifieds for $20!) Or is there another mfr making a vented model now? Could be a good niche for some company. . . Scott |
