Can someone please tell me what light is the third from the left on the bottom row of the MC9 cluster? It isn't marked and if it's in the book I can't find it. Thanks in advance
Don

I believe it's 'check transmission.'
If the second from the lower left is 'check engine', the trans light is immediately to the right on my 87.

JR, on mine, the second is the stop light. Is yours a DDEC?

Yes. It is a DDEC. And the second is the check eng light. My brake light indicator is in the center of the second row.
I've got an owners manual somewhere that shows the grid for an MUI. If no one has an answer for you I'll look for it and post what it says.

I'm not sure what a mui is. I have the maintenance manual and parts book, but neither shows it. My bus is an 81. By the way, there is no writing on the lens for this hole, and all the others are clearly marked. Thanks

Don,
Detroits are either Mechanical Unit Injectors,
or electronically injected, DDEC.
If there was no writing on the lens, it is a spare. I am assuming there are no bulbs hanging by their wires under there?
Third from the left on the on the bottom row of a 6 is the A/C failure light, second over is blank. For what that's worth.
George
