I have a 3 cyl Kubota D840 diesel that i am in need of the gen head for it ,anyone know where i can locate one locally in So. Calif, Thanks.
Also wanted to say that I was out to my bus in Boulder Nv, with fresh batts was amazed that she started right up on the first turn, her fuel pressure holds up even after 6 months, are there precautions that should be taken when the bus has been sitting for awhile ?? I drove her for alittle while and at first there was some blue smoke which later turned into black smoke. Im thinkng of taken her up to Redding where I can start on the roof raise. ( so much for the 2-3 year conversion) It will probably be more like 5 years when i'm finished with her. Ouch. Also would overlaying the existing floor with 3/4 ply be adding too much uneeded weight to he? i have heard some of the horror stories removinf the old plywood and would like to save some of the seat channelto bolt down fridge, furniture with it. Thanks All. ONEmule.

Don't know what kind of bus you own but I'll throw in my 2 cents.

Can't help with the head but I'll comment on some other points. I have owned our Eagle for alomst 5 years. I also thought about a 2-3 year job, not gonna happen for me. I figure at least another 5, by then I hope to be retired or tired.
I added plywood over existing in ours. Not concerned to much about adding extra weight as I will never exceed what a bus full of passengers and luggage will weigh.

Good Luck with your project!

Seems to have good prices. A friend volunteers at a train museum and I recently built a frame to house a generator and this is where they got the head.

I posted a reference here a few days. I could not remember which board it was on. I know Nim personally and used his repair shop for many years while I was in the Motor/Generator business in Southern California.
