In my Eagle 15, there is a converter/charger next to the battery in the panel that is below the driver's window .... connected to the battery and a post below the electrical panel. what does this power and convert ???? |

Where does the positive cable attach to? It has to go to something that is drawing power when you are parked. Maybe some other more experienced Eagle owners are able to help with a better answer. I've never heard of a battery in that location, but I'm willing to learn. |

It sounds like the previous PO's used that as your house battery supply. Your roof air should be 120V which should not be attached to the converter, that takes 120v converts it to 12v for charging. Where does the converter get its 120v supply? |

A converter and a charger are 2 different items. The converter is built to be on 24/7 and simply hold the mostly charged batteries at about 12.8... fully charged, floating. A charger can make a volt or so over the fully charged 12.8 usually 13.8 to 14.4 so it will actually charge the battery set. The charger MUST be smart enough to cut back to float , or the batts will be overcharged , and require frequent watering. FF |

Whenever you supply a/c current, either shore or generator, it is converting a/c current to d/c current so that you do not have to run off of batteries while using d/c accessories when a/c current is comming in. The battery charger USUALLY only puts a charge to the house batteries not the chassis but that is easy to check. |
