Hey All,
The power steering to the left has diminished almost to nill. I'm guessing it is the hydraulic cylendar that pushes and pulls the Tie Rod. anybody know were to get a new cylendar along with new boots.

Doug, that can just as easily be the control valve. One way to figure out if it is clearances in the valve or cylinder is to compare the effort at idle and at fast idle.

If the idle speed makes a lot of difference, then I would suspect wear. If it doesn't, then it may be something broken.

For what it's worth.

Bleed it. Make sure its full of the right stuff. Mine loved the Lucas stuff for steering boxes.

Make sure the steering box is not falling off.

Is something loose or falling off the steering arm? Did the nut that holds the steering arm to the steering box come loose?

Hey Doug!
I'd be interested to know how you come out on your steering. I've got the old Ross Cam&Lever setup on mine too. Seems to have an intermittent shudder thru the power assist when going around corners, but only if you turn the wheel faster than it likes. (tempermental old bitch!)
