I took out the 01 Eagle this weekend for the first campout. It went well for a first trip. I found out that no matter how long you run the water pump the water will not get hot. Hot water heater switch is next to pump switch. My shifter is really loose. Travel is twice what it is on my 05. Both side ways and up and down. Do I need a new shifter or linkage or both. Any body got a shifter if that is what I need. Thanks.

Most coaches are designed with rebuildable parts. Probably needs new bushings and pins. Get a parts and shop manual for it.

Proper clutch adjustment is very important and something I spent a lot of time doing.

I also had to replace most of the rod forks, pins and bellcrank arms for both trans and clutch linkage.

Some forks and bellcrank arms were worn almost through. There are so many of these pieces that a bit of slack in each one adds up to a bunch by the time it gets to the trans.

Try to rebuild all of it now while parts may be still available.

Forks were the hardest things for me to find. I finally found them at an oilfield supply place at outlandish prices. Hardware stores may have some, but not all sizes.

The cast Al bellcrank arms are hard to find. If you can get by with replacing only the arm bearings they are very reasonable from Luke. I ended up using metallized JBWeld on one of mine.
