What a great feeling, two and one half years of working most every day, and it all comes down to this. Last Friday we backed the Eagle out of the barn, all loaded and headed to Northern Minnesota for a week end of fishing, but mostly just sitting in the camp ground grinning. Beautiful weather, bus ran perfectly, and the fish were biting so much that we had to hide the bait just to keep them from overloading the boat It was a grand feeling to see her sitting there among the pine trees, and such a great feeling to cruise up the highway as only a true bus-nut can appreciate. Really nothing more to say, just had to share it. Gus Haag Minnesota |

Wow Gus, I'm jealous. I know that you have been around busses for a long time and I'd wager that your conversion would put most others to shame. Congratulations ! Do you have any photographs to share? tq |

Hey TQ, Another sucessful week of motoring around with the O-5. I do have several pictures, don't have a web site, out of my field of expertise, but if you want, send me your Email, and I will send them to you.I have them all scanned onto the hard drive, so the email works pretty well. An addition to the news of another fine trip, we put on over 1300 miles in 10 days, still had time for some fishing and story telling. Made another stop in Elkhart Indiana, to pick up a few last minute items. I still have quite a bit of detail work to finish, and I was going to convert the bay doors to cafe style, but have decided to wait until winter to do that part. Interesting side to another discussion held on this board a few weeks ago regarding screen doors, for bus conversions, ours worked just fine. Of course I skinned over the original door and added a side door in the second bay area. It gave us just what we wanted, which was both front seats at the same level and side by side, and of course the beautiful screen door to keep out all the Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin black flies and mosquitos. My Email is: Mrbus788761002@aol.com let me know about the pictures. Gus Haag |
