ok guys i know we have talked about this a million times but i am about to glue some leatherette or naugahide i dont know what you really call it but anyway i am gluing it to the face of my inst panal it is only about 1 foot sg if any of you know crowns it is a very small area and the materail is fairly heavy i am going to glue it on then put my inst back on top of it so i need to find some really good glue to fasten it with i think someone mentioned vynal roof cement or something of that nature anxiously (?) awaiting your input |

Use 3M contact adhesive for that sort of job. That is what it is designed to do. Be careful to do it in a well ventilated area as those fumes will get to you. You may well need your ID when you buy it too......LOL. Peter. |

Doug- Since you are in MA, go to a W. J. Grosvener's carpet supply wholesaler and get Clear-Tite contact cement. Works on vinyl, formica and everything else I have used it on, and it's great in high temperatures that your dashboard may be subjected to in the sunlight. Best stuff I have ever used. Better than the green or blue stuff which is used on car tops. Comes in quarts and gallons. Gallon is about $16. Jim |

thanks jim i knew about the contact adhesive but i read about something better and i think what you are talking about is what i am looking for will be up to talk to you in person soon |
