I will be looking into replacing my exhaust on the 4104 I have. It currently has the duel exhaust system and I would like to keep it as a duel system. Other then the stock system what have some others put on 4104's for duel replacement? I would need to know what mufflers or the size of the inlet/outlet pipes so I can match something up. It looks like there is a flange on the inlet pipe of the stock muffler, so would I need a short pipe to make this connection? Thanks for any and all responses. . |

I paid $60 at JCW for the mufflers I made up. One thing I like about them is that the ends are welded not crimped plus they don't have the high edges to trap water like the originals. The smaller size makes installing them through that floor hole a lot easier too. I had to weld a small extension to the end because the originals are longer as well as larger in diameter. The adapter that fits the manifold flange exactly is only about 5" long. I got mine from the local auto parts store. He said it was made for International DT 466 engines. That adapter has to be welded onto the JCW muffler but makes a neat installation. As I remember it cost a little over $20 but the total cost was around 1/2 the cost of the stock muffler. I'll send you a photo by email of the installation. I don't know the pipe sizes offhand but have a drawing somewhere of the setup which I'll try to find. (Message edited by gusc on July 22, 2008) |
