Any feedback on Sam's Town RV Park and Casino in LV? Heard CircusCircus was just a parking lot, and tacky at that.
Thanks!

Mike Sam's town is your best bet Circus Circus will triple the rate if you are there on the weekend it will cost you over 200 bucks for 3 days and it is a large parking lot Check Arizona Charlies next to Sam's also. The Oais is a nice park just off I 15 south at exit 33 but the rates there are 41 to 71 dollars per day. ps Circus Circus will charge extra for a spot near a patch of grass and a tree

We parked at Bolder Town in the parking lot for 3 days a few years back. Don't know if you can still get by with that or not now. Save some of the money for Mexico.

Mike, a couple of years ago we stayed at a campground called Roadrunner out on Boulder Highway for a weekly price of $66 (I think they were having a special) plus metered electric which didn't run more than about $20 for the week, and it was so hot the a/c ran without stopping. Campground was nice and Boulder Highway was a decently close ride to the casinos on the Strip where we then parked the toad for free at a casino parking garage while we spent money on fun and food. Fabulous!

recent reporting on the local news has shown an increase in drug related crime in the area around the roadrunner including events that unfolded within the roadrunner property (travelers beware)crack dealers and crack heads will prey on the unsuspecting travelers that might frequent some of the local establishments, either by hold up or by set up(waiting till you are away from your rig to gamble)to rip you off of any thing of value bolted down or not . you get what you pay for, always seek out an area that provides ample secuity for you and your rig, never let the alure of bright lights and cheap buffets cause you to lose your property or your lives prematurely. If you must come to vegas with your rig and are pulling a toad you either can stay at the very best place(lvmotorcoachresort) or you might consider staying just out of town where the crime rate is lower such as Boulder city,2 places that come to mind are boulder oaks RV resort 702-294-4425 or canyon trail Rv park both nice places call for pricing .boulder city has ample parking for rvs street parking is allowed up to 72 hours is very friendly seconds away from hoover dam and lake mead .also there is the lake mead rv village on lake mead 702-293-2540 good luck. The strip is within 20 mins from boulder city

This to all the Larry H's out there. Your willingness to CHEAT the system is what makes it tough on those who don't. After you have come and gone - the lack of good will you leave behind leaves a very taste in the mouth of those you deal with. Do you think they will always be as accomidating to other bus conversions after being ripped off by one of US??? Please think a little, leave a clean trail after you, and TRY to PROMOTE bus conversions rather than give us ALL a bad name.

I donno if he is or isn't, but I've seen people put out their awning, slide, & leveling jacks in the walmart parking lot. Sure looked bad & was hard to understand why anyone would even consider setting up camp like that.

Before I saw that, I'd have never believed it.

Oh, & I ain't a big fan of deciet & fraud either. . . . . Unless we're talking our way out of a speeding ticket :-)

I stayed at Las Vegas Motor Coach Resort this last New Years for free. They were offering a free week coupon on their web site months ago and I tried them out. I thought it may have been a gimmick to get people in and then stick them with some hidden bill. But there was no bill at the end of the stay. In fact, they also helped me out with a rental car at a discount rate, gave me two passes for free breakfast at a diner near their entrance, helped with parking and connection and it was great surroundings too. Right now they are only offering a 25% off coupon, but keep your eyes on their website (they have other locations too) because the coupons change. I stumbled on this place by an owner of one of the sites that I met in Tuscon. The only requirement was Class A and no less than 40 feet in length. It was a true 'resort' and not just a place to park.

I also reviewed the resort in the 'Places We Stay' portion of the BNO website.

Last fall and winter we stayed at Outdoor Resorts, both in Vegas and at Indio on the free coupon off their website. Good for 5 days in each location. Boy, was that enjoyable. No sales pitch required at all, just great hospitality. Sure hope they offer it again this winter.

My comment about awnings was about incidents in walmart parking lots & how some thoughtless people's actions impact others. I didn't mean to imply that was what Larry had done.

I assumed Larry's post endorsed faking engine trouble to get free parking, which is also something I would not normally support.
I have had so much better luck by explaining my situation, once I was even given an extension cord to plug into. . . :-)
