the 135 amp leece neville alternator on my 4104 went out and i had it rebuilt. installed it and it would not charge, cusssed out the rebuilder in my head, then happpened to read the original installation pamphlet that came with it a hundred years ago and was reminded that if the ignition terminal is not used the alternator must be polarized. Did it and it charges fine.
