Ok, now that a pet question has come up, I have another one. I need suggestions as to where to put a pet door to be used only while stopped. I have put these things in two RV's that I had and although they worked well, I don't see a convenient location in my MC 8. Anyone tried this? Let me know about bad locations too. Thanks in advance Dale |

You let the dog come and go as he pleases while in a campground? 10 years ago we were camping in Maine with a dog. The wife at the time let the dog out in the morning. He disappeared all day. Later that day he came back with a cat. That evening another camper was looking for thier cat. Ross |

Wow, most campgrounds insist your animal be leashed or they don't want you in their park. Well, ASSUMING that he his leashed, I don't see a lot of hope to make an entrance in the door unless you have a screened door inside the regular door, then you can install one in there. OR perhaps you have bay space, you can install a door in the bay door and then a trap door to the coach. I don't have either as the camp grounds I park in won't let rover run unleashed anyway and the RTS doesnt lend itself well for an animal door, similar to the RV being a poor choice(my RV). I like the idea however, just don't think it would work in the context that I am thinking, what are your thoughts??? cd |

Whoops, no I don't intend to let my pet(s) run loose in a campground, I was thinking more in the line of a semi-permanent parking place. One where we would be isolated from other people and their pets. In my Winnie I put the door inside in the stairwell, this was much better than in the door itself like I did in my Southwind, but neither seem to be an option in the MC 8, Like you said, no screen door. I've considered an extra entry in a bay but can't really figger out how to do it. Dale |
